Change id associated with Facetime

Hi there,

How does one change the id associated with Facetime.
I first brought two ipod touch 4th Gen. Registered each one with a separate Apple id. I don't recall what the initial setup screen for facetime was like when I started it first time.

But now I brought a iphone 4 and used the same apple id associated with one of the ipod touches for the iphone. So now when I call from the iphone4 to this ipod using Facetime, the call goes through but it's wierd to see the same name on both devices. Same names here are the caller and the called party.

I see zero options to change anything for facetime besides just adding new contacts. There is nothing in Settings menu either.

iPod leaked black/dark brown fluid, appeared as if on fire?

So in full detail:

I used my iPhone charger to charge my iPod the precious night, I woke up to a

Horrible smell, my iPod was leaking this black, tiny or brown fluid, but it dried up

And stuck to my pillow and blanket, the sides were chalky black

Like it was on fire? It won't turn on and my dad wrapped it in a

Piece of paper and is going  to properly recycle it

I got it maybe 1-2 years ago and it's a itouch 4g.

The liquid got under the screen and appears the screen is cracking?

I have no history of dropping it on fire or dropping it at all

It was my prized possession. I have no intentions on saving it

But would just like to see why that happened?

upload free app,have to put password or not

I had restore my Ipod last two days , after that when I upload free app sometime I have to put the pass word but sometime not.

But before I restore , I have to put password every time when I upload free app. I'm not sure , Is my Ipod has a probrem or not ?

- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.

- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps.

Which ID and password did you enter?

Are the apps "waiting"?

My ipod wouldn't work without going on a different computer to change my password. Shouldn't I be able to change my expired password directly on my ipod? APPLE STOP MAKING THIS DIFFICULT EVERYTIME THERE IS AN UPDATE!!!!

you may want to consider downgrading to iOS 6.0.1 to fix this problem before apple stops signing 6.0.1. This problem is recurrent in iOS 6.1

As an Apple Developer, i can assist you in fixing this problem. Search the web for the iPod4,1_6.0.1_10A523_restore.ipsw

Download it then save it to the desktop.

Open iTunes and connect the device. You can then go to the device summary and [on mac hold OPTION and click update, or on PC hold Control+shift and click update] this should allow you to manually select an ipsw to update to. Search for and click on the iOS 6.0.1 ipsw and proceed to update which will actualy downgrade your device to the pointed software, consequently, fixing your battery bug. You may also consider draining the battery fully and then recharging it all the way, but UNPLUG it when the device is fully charged. Overcharging has potentially deadly effects on the battery of the device.

Can't see any text in iTunes

Hi,

i've upgraded itunes to last version, 10.0.1.12 , installed on a Windows system.

When i run it, i can't see any letter in itunes, and also i can't see the menu (file,and so on..), only i can see it with the keyboard, (for example, Alt+a, and so on).

You can see my iTunes in this pictues from my laptop:

Does anybody konws a solution for this problem?.

This happens whem i connect my iphone 3gs and a 3rd generation Ipod.

Also sorry if i've expressed something wrong, english is not my usual language!  :-))

Synced to another iTunes library?

We are not trying to recover anything.  My wife's old phone synced perfectly fine with this iTunes library (and my phones always have).  The question is why can she all of the sudden not sync with this library.  She has never been synced with a different iTunes library (for instance, on another computer), so there seems to be a problem with either iTunes reading the phone or with her phone.  My phone does not have this problem and syncs just fine with this iTunes library. 

If the answer is that iTunes (or the phone) has a problem and the above is the only way to fix it, then I guess it is what it is.  Just seems silly given that her old phone synced without issue.

suddenly I am unable to purchase songs on itunes. When I click the "BUY" button, nothing will download. This problem literally happened over night. What do i do?

Trouble downloading itunes onto new laptop

Hi guys, I've been trying to download iTunes onto a new HP Pavillion g6 notebook with Windows 7 Home premium.

It never seems to work and the main dialog box I get says

Service 'Apple Mobile Device' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

Also another dialog box says

Apple Application Support was not found. Error 2 (Windows error 2)

I'm wondering what I need to do now?

Will itunes remove duplicates when loading new songs?

No. If you put new songs inside the iTunes Media folder and rescan for media it will ignore the files that are already part of the library, but if you scan other folders and iTunes is set up to create copies in the media folder then may create duplicates. Immediately after import you can select the Songs list, use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicates, sort the resulting list on Date Added and delete the recent duplicate imports.

I've also written a script called DeDuper for automating duplicate removal. See this thread for background and take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping..

my itunes played the videos without quicktime.after restarting windows,it is not able to play the same videos without quicktime.why?

I'd like to try doing a "Run as administrator" on your iTunes.

Quit iTunes first.

In Computer, open Local Disk C: or whichever drive you have your program files installed on.

If you have a 32-bit Windows, open the "Program files" folder.

If you have a 64-bit Windows, open the "Program Files (x86)" folder.

Open the "iTunes" folder.

Right-click on the iTunes.exe file and select "run as administrator".

Can you play the movies without the message, now?

Clicking "Buy" button no longer works to purchase a song

We are having the same issue.  Response from Support:

"Please bear with me while I send your issue for investigation. You can contact us after a few weeks.

With that being said, I would just suggest you to uninstall and reinstall your iTunes on your Mac. If your using Windows, just reinstall it.  Visit this site to download the new iTunes:

Well, our OS is just one version lower than the requirements, so we can't download it, and also are fearful we would lose our library, anyway.

Glad to hear it is not just us, and appears to be an Apple issue.  Will continue to pursue a solution. Let us know if you find out anything else.
